Obituary

Evelyn "Evie" Takle died peacefully on Feb. 25, 2011. In joining our heavenly father, Evelyn\'s husband, Harold; her daughter, Marilyn; and son, David are there to receive her. Evelyn Lucille was born Sept. 26, 1918, to Ben and Anna Olson of Lodi. She is survived by her sisters, Juanita Longfield and Louise (Ken) Vantine, both of Madison; her daughters, Cheryl of New Berlin and Nancy (Jim) Hebert of Richmond, Virginia; nine special grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Evie lived a busy life devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed travel, her visits to family in Norway, dancing, music, gardening, bowling, and years of service to Bethel Lutheran Church. We\'ll miss her spunk, humor, advice, and love. Funeral services will be held at BETHEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 312 Wisconsin Ave., Madison, at 12 p.m., on Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8317 Elderberry Road, Madison, 53717. We thank the staff on 2NW Lutheran Home in Waukesha, who became like family and to Hospice .
