Obituary
MADISON-June B. Pohlod, age 77, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011. She was born on June 7, 1933, in Madison, the daughter of John and Frieda (Nesse) Nesberg. She married Joseph Pohlod on Oct. 23, 1954, at Trinity Lutheran Church. June was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and took part in the handbell group, the choir, and TLCW. She was an avid badgers and packers fan. June enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was also active with her friends taking part in coffee clutches, book club, and morning breakfasts at Dennys. June is survived by her son, Joseph Jr. (Linda); daughters, Joni (Roy) Hines, Juli (Eric) Antonson, and Jan (Brian) Wolf; four grandchildren, Lucas, Natalie, Rachel, and Lauren; nieces, Debbie (Danny) Brooks and Laura Nesberg; sisters-in-law, Elnore and Dorothy Nesberg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 1980; her parents; and two brothers, Lloyd and Harold Nesberg. Funeral services will be held at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1904 Winnebago Street, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, with the Rev. Jeff Tomberlin and the Rev. Jo Ann Fabie presiding. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in her name. A special thank you to Dr. Sloan for his care, along with the nurses, Heather and Adrienne, at Meriter ICU. Funeral services will be held at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1904 Winnebago Street, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, with the Rev. Jeff Tomberlin and the Rev. Jo Ann Fabie presiding.

Joe, Juni, Juli and Jan my prayers go out to all of you and your familys. When I think for you Mom and Dad I think of all the 4-H meetings and functions as well as being backdoor neighbors to the DeVries's. Both your parents were great people and will be/are missed. Take care in this difficult time.
