Rea and I knew Matt for the last 13 plus years in respect to his position at VW. We not only knew we could always count on his expertise but we considered him a friend. He will be missed by so many. Our thoughts go out to his family.

Dad you have touched so many lives since your time here. We are so devastated and lost without you. Not only were you an exceptional father and grandpa, but you were my mentor. Please make us strong, because that it what you have always done. We will never forget and always remember you dad.
I LOVE YOU!

Matt was a great friend to me over the years, and a wonderful dance partner when I lived in Madison. We spent many hours learning to dance all the great dances (West Coast Swing and ballroom) until I moved to Texas. He will be missed by everyone in Monona and Madison, and especially by his family. I know he was so proud of his 2 grandchildren because he would send me photos of them once in a while. Rest in peace Matt, I will miss my friend.

I appreciated the knowledge I gained from Matt. When working on an older car I didn't know much about, he would not only tell me how and what needed to be done. He would come out and show me. He knew what he was talking about and what he wanted. My best memory was working on some vanagons, Matt as the advisor.
