Obituary
MADISON - Joseph Stutika, age 79, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011. He was born on Oct. 14, 1931, in Pila, Slovakia, the son of Franz and Maria (Tomuov) Stutika. Joseph immigrated from Germany in 1950, and was drafted into the U.S. Army. He spoke German, but learned English while he was in the service. Once discharged, he went to work for Gisholt (Giddings and Lewis) for 44 years, until his retirement in April of 1994. Joseph traveled all over the world for his occupation. He loved to joke around and was known for his great sense of humor, being a conservative, and a Mr. Fix-it for everything around the house. Joseph enjoyed metal detecting, playing the accordian, gardening, hunting, fishing, ice-fishing, and going for long walks. He especially enjoyed video taping the family events throughout the year, which he would share with each family member, as each year came to an end. Joseph is survived by his children, Joyce L. (Harry) Gould, Diane R. (Charles Yun) Stutika, Susan F. (Glen Ross) Stutika, Dale J. (Denise) Stutika; grandchildren, Brian, Tanya, and Angela Schickowski, Melysa and Lauren Stutika, and Madison Yun; sister, Margit Hohl; and many nieces and anephew. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother; and former wife, Sally Ann Stutika. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. A special thank you to Harbor House of Janesville for their loving care of Joseph.

Dad, I hope you know how much I love you. You have been and incredible dad to me. Never judging and always available to listen to me and give me your advice. You helped me through many rough spots in my life. For that I will be eternally grateful. I know you are celebrating your new life free from disease and a failing body. I look forward to the day when I can stand on your feet again and dance with you in Heaven. I love you. Your daughter Susan

Dad - You have finally found the peace you've been wishing for. You suffered and struggled way too long for whatever reason God had for you. Now you've moved into the next phase of your journey free of all that limited you the last few years. I love you Dad and will see you again some day.
Your Daughter, Joyce
