Obituary
MADISON- Mildred E. Ladd, age 87, of Madison, passed away on Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at her home. She was born on July 14, 1923, in Avoca, the daughter of Orville and Emma (Reed) Ladd. Mildred graduated from Highland High School. After high school, she went to work for the Federal Government as secretary to the commander at the Army Recruiting Station in Milwaukee for 50 years. Mildred loved to travel to the western states. She was a supporter of the Crazy Horse Memorial in Custer, S.D. Mildred is survived by her brothers, Bud (Carol) Ladd and Vernus Ladd; sister, Marilyn Erickson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Sheldon, Clifford and Lambert. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011. Burial will be held at Otter Creek Lutheran Cemetery in Highland, at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, and also from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday. A special thank you to the Madison Police Department, Madison Fire Department Paramedics, and Dane County Communications Center.
Cemetery:
Burial will be held at Otter Creek Lutheran Cemetery in Highland, at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
Visitation:
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, and also from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.
Service:
Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011.
