Obituary
MCFARLAND - Lucas Roland Bernau, age 42, passed away peacefully at home from brain cancer with his wife and mother by his side on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011. Lucas was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Sept. 24, 1968, son of Roland and Phyllis (Bourne) Bernau. Lucas was a graduate of Pardeeville High School. After graduation Lucas earned two associate degrees, one in Electronics from Herzing College, formerly Madison School of Electronics, the other in Computer Networking at Madison Area Technical College. Lucas was employed by Air Stream Communications as an Internet Security Specialist. On May 16, 1992, Lucas married Joni Kay Moran at the Chicago LDS Temple. Together they enjoyed traveling and spending time with their family. Lucas was a passionate genealogist who also enjoyed skiing, roller coasters, campfires, Star Trek and the Green Bay Packers. He is survived by his parents; wife ;a son Aaron; step-sons, Justin Cota (Lori), Steven Moran (Janell); and their children, Taylor and Carter; sisters, Heidi Delorme, Janeal Fullmer (James); and a brother, Russell (Teresa); seven nephews; and his trusted canine companion, Bailey. Lucas was preceded in death by his grandparents and father-in-law. Funeral services will be held at the THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS, 825 South Van Buren Street, Stoughton, at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Wednesday. Private family burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lucas Bernau Memorial Fund, which has been established at Associated Bank
