Robert M. Bald

OREGON/MADISON-Robert M. "Bob" Bald, age 82, died on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at Oregon Manor, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 27, 1928, to the late Edwin and Nella Bald. Bob was united in marriage Joan Benhcke on Feb. 28, 1953, in Fennimore. Bob and Joan resided on Lake Waubesa for more than 40 years. Bob enjoyed fishing and golfing. He is survived by his daughters, Lynn (Tom) Sturdevant, Terri Johnson and Laurie (Steve) Dushek; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; parents; a brother, nephew and a son-in-law. A memorial visitation will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park Street, Oregon, on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. A private burial will be held in the spring at Prairie Mound Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Oregon Manor for the care and support they gave to Bob and his family over the years.
