Scott, Teresa L.Milwaukee/Cross Plains-Teresa L. Scott, age 50, formerly from Cross Plains passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2011, from complications following heart transplant surgeryTeresa was born August 3, 1960 in South Carolina the daughter of Charles and Annie Ruth Scott. Teresa was raised in Ward, S.C., where she embarked on a life long passion for music. A self-taught musician, she was gifted with an ability to play a variety of instruments by ear. She proudly used her talent to play in various bands, churches and nursing homes. Teresa was a very nurturing soul which lead her to a successful career in social work. She earned her Master's Degree from the UW-Milwaukee and was currently employed at Community Care where she will be greatly missed by her colleagues and those she cared for.She leaves behind to mourn her death, her beloved relatives from S.C.; aunts, Catherine Johnson and Winnie Mae Clark; cousins, Denny Clark, Brenda Clark, Pamela (Joel) Long and their children Jessica and Clifton (Angela) and their grandchildren CK, Haley and Katelyn Long.She is also survived by her "Wisconsin family" and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, several aunts, uncles and a special "nephew" Christopher Long in 2010.As per Teresa's wishes private services will be held in her honor.Teresa - I thank you for 23 years of devoted friendship. Although my heart aches in sorrow I am comforted knowing you are now truly at peace. I will miss you immensely.
