COTTAGE GROVE- Donald J. Ertel, age 77, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at U.W. Hospital. He was born on May 10, 1933, in Sheboygan, the son of John and Emma (Fischer) Ertel. Don is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia; children, Maryl Meise, Kathleen (James) Robinson and Mark (Susan) Ertel; grandchildren, Sarah (David) Leenman, Chelsey Meise, Anna Meise, Taylor Robinson, Garrett Robinson, Krissa Robinson and Ryan Ertel; great-grandson, Gavin Leenman; brother, Allen Ertel; and many nieces and nephews. To honor Dons wishes, private memorial services will be held.

Pat,
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
We had so much fun at all of our Heritage Heights events together. Don was all was the life of the party. He will be missed by the the J.F.K. family as well. If you would like to come warm up this winter, we have an extra bedroom that We would love to have you fill.

Dearest Pat. It is with GREAT regret that I am sendinge this to you today. I just received news from Judy Torres of Don's passing. Please know that you and your whole family are in my thoughts and prayers in this very sad time in your lives. Don was a pretty neat guy! My prayers for comfort are with you always. Aunt Pat and family - I am so sorry to read this - I want you all to know you are in my thoughts and prayers - and that each of you is granted the peace of God knowing Uncle Donnie is in God's loving care. Unfortunately he is not alone on this day - I was trying to locate you to let you know that Steve's youngest son (Andrew) was also called away to God last Thursday - there is a large entourage of family meeting and greeting both of them in heaven this day - as our tears fall God is excited to bring the newest angels in - God Bless you in your grief with all our love Pat, Jim and family -
