Bonnie W. Wilson

MADISON-Bonnie W. Wilson, age 78, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2010 at her home after courageously coping with multiple sclerosis for almost 40 years. She was born on November 1, 1932, in Belvidere, Illinois, the daughter of Guy R. and Wylda (Blake) Wait. After graduating from Belvidere High School, she attended Northwestern University where she met the love of her life Richard Wilson. They were married on December 21, 1952 in Belvidere, Illinois. Bonnie was a very devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed baking for her family and never needed a special occasion to do so. Bonnie had a variety of interests including reading and choral singing but she truly treasured most the time she spent with her family. After raising her family, she worked several years for Equifax Co, before traveling to Tokyo, Japan with her husband, as he represented Oscar Mayer with its Japanese affiliate. Upon returning from Japan, she spent a number of years as a volunteer for Madison Braillists, first as a braille typist and then as a recorder of children\'s books. Bonnie was a member of Middleton Community Church since 1963. She is survived by her husband, Richard Wilson; her daughter Laura Wilson and many dear friends. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Jeffrey. Funeral services will be held at MIDDLETON COMMUNITY CHURCH, 645 Schewe Road, Middleton at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 23, 2010 with the Reverend James Iliff presiding. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Madison. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
