Obituary

MIDDLETON- Dora Johanna Becker, age 93, passed away on Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at HospiceCare Inc. in Fitchburg. She was born on July 15, 1917, in Middleton, the daughter of Olga and Alfred Tiedeman. Dora grew up in Middleton and graduated from Middleton Union Free High School in 1935. She married James W. Becker in 1937, at St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Middleton. They shared 46 years together, before he preceded her in death in 1983. Dora attended Madison Business College and worked at the Madison Bank and Trust Company. She is survived by three daughters, Jerlyn Holzem, Lynn (William) Biederman, and Marcia (James) Byrd; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren;18 great-great grandchildren; sister, Verda Grob; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Dora was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Wildes. Dora will forever live in the hearts of those close to her. Her unconditional love for life and family defined her beautiful character and her values will live through following generations. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Avenue, Middleton at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.
