Irene Gullickson,

MADISON-Irene Gullickson, age 100, passed away on Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at HospiceCare. She was born on March 17, 1910, in Wonewoc. Irene married Gerald Gullickson on March 17, 1930. She worked at Oscar Mayer for 30 plus years and also at Dane County Coliseum. Irene was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, baking, and was an avid baseball fan. Irene is survived by her grandchildren, Terri (Jim) Deane, Duane (Michelle) Gullickson, Thomas (Mary) Hammersley, and Paula and (Dan) Ewing; great-grandchildren, Paul, Beth, Luke, Michael, Jessica, Faye, Jill, Drew and Hunter; six great-great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Paul Hammersley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald in 1994; son, Roger Gullickson in 1989; daughter, Geraldine Hammersley in 2007; and daughter-in-law, Linda Gullickson in 2007. Funeral services will be held at ST. MARKS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 605 Spruce St., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, with the Rev. Mary Pharmer presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to St. Marks Lutheran Church.
