Geraldyne Soderberg

LOMBARD,ILL.-Geraldyne E. Soderberg, age 88, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2010. She was born on Sept. 15, 1922, in Madison the daughter of Michael and Carolyn (Kurz) Prindiville. She married Richard Soderberg on July 1, 1969. Geraldyne was a graduate of Madison East High School. She worked at Oscar Mayer for more than 36 years, and retired in 1983. Geraldyne also worked as a part-time cashier at Ken's Meat Market. She moved to Glen Ellyn, Ill., eight years ago to be closer to her son, David Sherman. Geraldine was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Monona. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, loving mother, and a caring daughter. Geraldyne is survived by her son, David Sherman of Lombard, Ill.; step-daughter, Janice (Gary) Adler of Madison; step-daugher-in-law, Phyllis Soderberg of Monona; step-granddaughter, Lynn Church; and step-great-grandson, Kraig Bouchard. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dick and step-son, Larry. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr. at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010 with Father Bart Timmerman presiding. Burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
