Michael Edward Cecka

MADISON/BELOIT- Michael E. Cecka, age 57, found peace and comfort from pain on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at Capital Lakes Health Center in Madison. Michael was born on Dec. 12, 1953, to Arthur Cecka and Dorothy (Wittmann) Cecka Anderson in Platteville. He spent his early years exploring the nooks and crannies of Mineral Point, before moving to Beloit with his family. Beloit became his home. He worked for Antons Fencing for many years before starting his own shop. Michaels Fencing was his pride and joy until it closed in 2003. Michael is survived by his children, Cassandra Cecka of Beloit and Andrew Cecka of Portland, Ore.; and his grandchildren, Mackenzie Pike and Domenic Strobbe of Beloit. He is further survived by his mother, Dorothy Anderson of Madison; and six brothers and sisters, Audrey (Dan) Stephans of Madison, Nancy Cecka of Beloit, Mary (Mark) Polzin of Northfield, Minn., Larry Cecka of Janesville, Patricia (Dan) Otter of DeForest, Kevin (Sangin) Anderson of Waukesha; plus numerous nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Cecka; and his step-father, D. Dale Anderson. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the nurses and staff of Capital Lakes Health Center for their kind care the past few months as well as the wonderful care Michael received at St. Marys Renal Center.
