Shirley Ann Wilke

Wilke, Shirley Ann CHICAGO, ILL./DODGEVILLE - Shirley Ann Wilke, age 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at Lighthouse Assisted Living in Sun Prairie after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Dec. 10. 1944, in Belleville. Shirley graduated June 11, 1964, at West High School in Wauwatosa. She enjoyed reading, crotcheting, socializing, and her love for animals. She will best be remembered for her caring and loving soul. Shirleys generosity was endless at any given time, somehow she always left you more fulfilled whether by a story, listening heart or even a meal. She is survived by her dear brothers, Peter Holtzman of Madison and Paul (Janeane) Holtzman of Madison; loving nieces and nephews, Tim (Chris), Pat, Tracy, and Tom (Gabbi); many adorable great-nieces and nephews; caring cousins; and a very special Aunt Pearl Wilke. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ella Wilke; uncle, Harold Wilke; and beloved grandfather, Marcus Wilke. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 27, 2010. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 until the time of service on Monday.
