CHEROKEE, IOWA-Dorothy A. Davidson, age 92, of Cherokee, Iowa, formerly of Madison, Wis., and originally from Alta, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010 at Careage Hills in Cherokee. Graveside services will be held at the ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK, 401 Femrite Drive, Monona, at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday., Dec. 15, 2010.

My condolences go out to the family of Dorothy. She was a kind lady. My sister and I knew her very well as we were growing up. We looked up to her and admired her. She watched us grow from the age of just 8 and 9, letting us visit her and Floyd on weekends sharing the joy of her beloved Collies. We so looked forward to spending time with Dorothy, she was a wonderful lady. She gave two little girls many memories that will never be forgotten. She inspired me to live my dream, of breeding, I always said one day I would be just like Dorothy, I thank her for instilling that dream that would one day come true.
