OREGON-Sylvia A. Bryant, age 94, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at the Oregon Manor. She was born on January 22, 1916, in Madison, the daughter of Herman and Tina (Peterson) Poast. Sylvia was united in marriage to Carl Bryant in 1937 and together they farmed in the Oregon area where they raised their family. Sylvia enjoyed the farmer's market in Oregon and was known as the "banana bread" lady. She had a variety of interests including embroidery and making crafts for her family and friends, but she truly treasured most the time she spent with her family. Sylvia is survived by her children, Phil (Paula), Virginia "Ginny" (Jim) Brown, Norma (Don) Hallowell, Larry (Barb) and Steve; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren with another to be arriving soon; a brother Harold Poast; a brother-in-law, Mike Gmeinder and special friends Kathy Slater and her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Carl. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park Street, Oregon at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Madison. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special Cemetery: Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Madison Visitation: Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
