LaVonne J. Gerth,

Gerth, LaVonne J. OREGON-LaVonne J. (Rickey) Gerth, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at Oregon Manor. She was born in Moscow, Wisc., on Feb. 20, 1916, the daughter of the late Frank and Lela (Schindler) Rickey. The family moved to her grandfathers farm in Fitchburg where she attended Maple Corners, one-room school house and later graduated from the Oregon Red Brick School House. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley of Madison; sons, Lonnie and Lester, both of Florida; brother, Vilas Rickey of Madison; her special friend of 40 years, Bob; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. A special thank you to all of the people at Oregon Manor and Dr. Okada and his staff.
