Nina Bjornstad

MADISON-Nina B. Bjornstad, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010. She was born on Feb. 15, 1917, the daughter of Odin and Ida (Knutson) Tofsrud. Nina was united in marriage to Wilford L. Bjornstad. They chose to devote their lives to Wilfords military career, and Nina continued to be an active supporter of the military. She was constantly seeking knowledge, especially regarding politics and her Norwegian heritage. Nina was a caring animal lover and appreciated all aspects of life amongst the flowers and wildlife on the family farm. She took great pride in her family and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Jan Easterday; granddaughter, Morgyn Easterday; grandson, Eric Adelman; brother, Gene Tofsrud; sister-in-law, Adeline Campbell; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilford; and daughter, Jean Adelman. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at 1 p.m., at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK, 401 Femrite Drive, Monona, with the Rev. Mary Pharmer presiding.
