Obituary
MONONA - Jeanette Helen Ballentine, age 80, currently of McFarland, passed away on Nov. 14, 2010, at Harmony Living Center. She was born on Feb. 21, 1930, in Waunakee, the daughter of Fred and Helen (Klein) Schoepp. She graduated from Waunakee High School. Jeanette married Donald Ballentine on May 3, 1952, at St. Johns Church in Waunakee. She furthered her education at Madison Area Technical College after her son began high school. After receiving a business degree, she became a State Auditor for the I.R.S., retiring in 1993. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. Shewas an avid reader and most importantly being with her grandsons. Jeanette is survived by her son, John (Shar) Ballentine; grandsons, Dillon and Reid all of McFarland; sister, Doris Helt of Verona; brothers, Fred (Joan) Schoepp of McFarland and Donald (Marcy) Schoepp of Waunakee; brothers-in-law, Lyle Ballentine and Duane (Marlene) Ballentine, sister-in-law, Carol Ballentine; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010 with Father Bart Timmerman presiding. Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cementery. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010. A special thanksto all the staff at Harmony Living Center and HospiceCare Inc.

Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cementery.

Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010.
