Obituary
MADISON- Robert W. Hron, age 80, of Madison passed away on Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at home with his family by his side. Bob Hron lived life with grace, perseverance, and humor. He has a lot of friends and helped many people suffering with alcoholism, depression, and defeat. He would invite them into our home to feed them, talk with them, encourage them, and help them see a better life was available by taking care of your family and helping others. Through his life he served in the army during the Korean conflict, worked at Oscar Mayers, and later became a real estate agent with Re-Max. His secret was to listen and find people what they wanted. Bob is survived by his wife Alta, son Mark and his wife Pam, daughter Teresa and her fiance Moe Daraie, son Randy and partner Mary Balogh, grandkids Trevor, Brian, and Rachel, great grandkids Jonathan and Isaiah, sister Catherine, and in-law Gladys Fieldler, Tony & Marlene Bachim, Jane Hron, and Clary Moriva. He is predeceased by his parents Henry and Alice Butterfield, brothers Henry Jr. and Eugene. Bob has many dearly loved nieces and nephews and cousins, especially Harold Westby, with whom he spent summers on the farm when they were growing up. Up until the very end and even sitting in his hospital bed, Bob was calling people whenever he had a little left in his voice to talk to ask how they were doing and if they needed anything. Today he is in the City of Light. A memorial mass will be held at ST. PETERS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., Madison at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, with Monsignor Charles Schluter presiding. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010. There will be a fellowship gathering in honor of Bob at EAST SIDE ALANO CLUB, 1017 Northport Drive, Madison, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010.

We had the pleasure of meeting Bob at a family birthday party. It was apparent how much he loved his family and that they took precedence over everything.
Trevor, you are a very important part of our family, and we know the loss of your grandpa is breaking your heart. Know that we are here for you and the boys. Keep your memories close in your heart; it will comfort you in the days ahead.
