Patricia Hanson

MADISON-Patricia Ann Hanson, age 79, passed away on Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, at the HospiceCare Center, in Fitchburg. She was born on Aug. 29, 1931, in Lynn, Mass., the daughter of Clyde and Mildred (Morgan) Pyne. . She was a graduate of East High School in 1949. Pat married Gordon Hanson on Oct. 6, 1951, in Madison. Pat worked as a teachers aide for the Madison School District. She enjoyed golf, bridge, walking in the gardens at Olbrich, and spending time with family. Pat was especially fond of her Thursday morning birthday club, which convened at noon on Wednesdays. She is survived by her husband, Gordon; daughter, Sue (Nathan) Ringgenberg of Bemidji, Minn.; sons, James (Patti) of Cottage Grove, Steve (Cheryl Denny) of Madison, and David of Madison; grandchildren, Rebekah (Andrew) Johnson, Emily (Chad) Kurschner, Eric Ringgenberg, Paula Hanson, Andrew Hanson, and Carly Hanson; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Jim (Mae) Pyne of Florida; brothers-in law, Don (Lorraine) Hanson, Gene (Jo) Hanson, and Don Michaelis; sister-in-law, June Hanson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law, Les (Bernette) and Rollie Hanson; and sister-in-law, Jan Michaelis. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, with the Rev. Timothy Jones presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare Inc.
