Obituary
WAUNAKEE/MADISON-Harland J. Buckingham, age 77, beloved husband and father passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010. He was born in Dodgeville, on Nov. 16, 1932, to Mary and James Buckingham. Harland married the love of his life, Joyce Cary, on Aug. 15, 1953. Together they celebrated 57 wonderful years. Harland served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He worked for the Madison Streets Department for 32 years. Harland retired in 1990. Harland is survived by two sons, Steven (Janet) and Mark (Wanda); four grandchildren, Jennifer, Melissa, Bradley, and Nicholas; one brother, Edgar; and two sisters, Alice and Lois. A private service will be held. Inurnment will be held at Roselawn Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at St. Marys Hospital MICU for all of their help and support. Harland will be missed dearly by his family.

it was honor working with Buck,he was a mentor to me when I started at the city. he sent me in the right direction.I am sadened by his passing it was alway good to see Buck at breakfast...with a new joke. May he rest in peace
