COTTAGE GROVE- Thelma Pinkerton, age 66, of Cottage Grove, passed away on Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, at St. Marys Hospital. She was born on Feb. 12, 1944, in Bentonville, Ark., the daughter of Floyd and Elpha Harrelson. Thelma married Charles Pinkerton on Nov. 2, 1963, in Oklahoma City, Okla., and together lived various places throughout the U.S. due to Charles job. Thelma worked as a receptionist at several different places, most recently at Burdick in Deerfield. She was a member of Door Creek Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Charles; and was a devoted mother to sons, Michael (Kris), and David; and grandmother of five grandsons. She is further survived by five sisters; and two brothers. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, with the Rev. Bob Goodsell presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, 2010. A special thank you to \"Ogie\" for her care and compassion given to Thelma over the past few years and to her friend, Rev. Cal Steiner. Memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, 2010.

Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, with the Rev. Bob Goodsell presiding.

Chuck, So sory to hear about Thelma's passing. These past few years we have sorta grown apart. I am sorry that we didn't get to spend more time with you and Thelma,seems like our schedules never seemed to match up. We can't make the memorial service, but our hearts and prayers will be with you on Saturday. Our home is always open for you to come visit. I went to school with Thelma in Gentry ,we went grade schools and graduatedi 1962. I knew her sisters , Nita who attended nursing here in Okc for years Thelma lived 1 block form my in-laws. I didn’t know this for years. So sorry to hear she passed in 2021. Our Bdays were in Feb, 1944. Her good friend Janice is gone. Out of our graduating class, have passed.RIP
