Obituary
FITCHBURG-Mary L. Williams, age 88,passed away on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center, with most of her family with her. Mary enjoyed several years working as a lab assistant at the University of Wisconsin Bio-Chemistry department. She then moved into a 30 year career she loved at W.J. Rendalls, a women's wear store at Westgate. At Rendall's her elegant sense of style and charm was a mainstay as she outfitted and accessorized so many women over the years. Mary had a strong sense of fairness and was for the underdog whether it was people in trouble or sports figures. She followed many different sports, football, track, golf and tennis. Mary was also very knowledgeable and kept current with state, national and world news and politics. Mary was the glue that kept her large family connected, and was a dedicated supporter of all sports and activities of her children and grandchildren. She was also a long time volunteer at the Madison Charity Horse show. Mary is survived by her children and grandchildren, John Williams, David (Joyce) Williams; David Jr., Jim (Angela), Caryn Vittori, Evan and Ann (Eric) Elliot, George and Katherine Williams; Andrea (David) Mitchell, Larissa, George IV, Teri and Bill Black; Jeffrey, Trudi and Brad Carlson; Clay (Breinne), Cain. Grand daughter, Krystal Hansen. Mary is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara of Martin, Texas; 2 brothers-in-law; 2 sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband George J. Williams in 1998; daughter, Toni Hansen in 2007; grandson, Alex Black, 2008; and 3 brothers and 4 sisters. A memorial service will be held at the DON AND MARILYN HOSPICECARE CENTER, 5395 E. Cheryl Pkwy, Fitchburg, at 10:30 a..m. on Sunday Oct. 17, 2010. Private family burial will be held at a later date.

A memorial service will be held at the DON AND MARILYN HOSPICECARE CENTER, 5395 E. Cheryl Pkwy, Fitchburg, at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday Oct. 17, 2010.
