Lynda Craig

Craig, Lynda M.Middleton-Lynda M. Craig, age 70, of Middleton passed away on Wednesday, Setp. 22, 2010, at HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on Aug. 16, 1940 in St. Marys Hospital in Sparta, WI, the daughter of Levi and Maebelle (Haugstad) Craig. Lynda graduated from Bangor High School in 1958. She attended MATC for a LPN Degree and then graduated from UW-Madison with a Bachlor of Science degree in Education. Lynda returned to UW-Madison and earned a BS in nursing, she also earned a business degree. She worked her entire nursing career at UW Hospital retiring in 2001 and was Nurse of the Year in 2000. Lynda was a member of the Red Hat Society of Sauk City. She enjoyed traveling the United States and also internationally and was an avid Badger and Packer fan. Lynda also enjoyed playing Bridge. She was known for the love of the color purple. Lynda is survived by a brother, Calvin (Debra) Craig of Bangor; a sister, Sally Craig of Fitchburg; 4 nieces, Paula, Sondra, Megan and Sara and a nephew, Michael.She was preceeded in death by her parents; a brother, David Craig, and a niece Kimberly.To honor Lynda's request there will be no services. The family wishes to thank everyone for the cards and flowers Lynda received prior to her death. A special thank you to Kathie Hanson and Margaret Buettner for their loving care and support of Lynda until the time of her death.
