June Alice Kern,

DEERFIELD-June A. Kern, age 78, of Deerfield, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, at St. Marys Hospital. She was born on Oct. 16, 1931, in Racine, daughter of Milton and Marion (Koentopp) Pahr. June married Robert Kern on Dec. 3, 1949. She worked for WPS in Monona for 17 years. June was the former leader of K.O.P.S. and belonged to T.O.P.S. ( Take Off Pounds Sensibly). She is survived by her children, Jean Kern of Washington, Robert Kern Jr. of Beaver Dam, Margaret Way of Deerfield, Kathryn Strain of Janesville, and Bonnie Chandler of Oregon; grandson, Jeremy Armstrong of Wisconsin Dells; other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. June was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and son, Jim.
