Obituary
MCFARLAND- Christopher Ross Carney, age 23, of Houston, Texas, formerly of McFarland died unexpectedly, on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, in Houston, Texas. He was born on June 11, 1987, in Madison, the son of Thomas and Rose Carney. Chris graduated from McFarland High School in 2006, where he played on the high school soccer and tennis teams. He was also a member of the McFarland high school marching band. Chris enjoyed disc golf, music and reading. He also attended Winona State University and Madison Area Technical College. He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Rose; brother, Sean (Wendy); niece, Lauren all of McFarland; maternal grandmother, Bernice Winnemuller of Port Washington; a special person, Andrea Mann of Houston; and many other relatives and friends. Chris was preceded in death by his brother, Ross Michael. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Monona, at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of the service. Because of Chris volunteer work at Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern Wisconsin, memorials may be made to them, in his name. Though we love him and will miss him dearly, we take comfort in knowing his struggle is over and he is at peace.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.
