Obituary

MONONA-Mildred A. Krause, age 96, of Monona, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010. She was born on Sept. 14, 1914, in Arena, the daughter of Louis and Edith (Novak) Moran. Mildred married Wilbur W. Krause, on Oct. 21, 1930. She was a seamstress for Simpsons, Saviduskys, Manchesters, and Yosts for more than 30 years. Mildred was an active member of Monona Evangelical Lutheran Church, Eagles Club, and the Moose Club. She loved playing cards, especially euchre and 500. Mildred is survived by sons, Donald (Joan) Krause of Madison and Stuart (Jean) Krause of Wausau; granddaughters, Cheryl (Bill) Wuestenhagen, Kathy (Ray) Robinson, Pam (Dave) Mousley, Lori (Doug) Galles, Kari (Scott) Edwards, Erika (Travis) Olson, Terri Krause-Salyer and Nita (Tim) Headrick; grandsons, Donny (Kim) Krause, Adam (Julie) Krause, Mike (Donna) Krause, Danny (Connie) Krause and Kenny (Kate) Krause; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Zellorean Field of Madison, and Malciel Krause of Sun Prairie; and sister-in-law, Elaine Moran of Madison. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilbur; sons, Wilbur "LeRoy" and Kenneth; grandson, Gary Krause; sisters, Charlotte, Maxine and Marcella; and brothers, Virgil, Curtis, and Darwin. Funeral services will be held at MONONA EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4411 Monona Drive, Monona, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, with the Rev. William Pekari presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare Inc., 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI. 53711.
