Laurie Ann Bowers,

MADISON- Laurie A. Bowers, age 49, of Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at her home. She was born on Oct. 13, 1960, in Superior, the daughter of Laurel and Gloria (Grulke) Bowers. Laurie worked for U.W. Hospital as a program assistant for several years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and spending time with her sons and her grandson. Laurie was a member of Grace Baptist Church and held the Lord very close to her heart. She is survived by two sons, Ian and Alexi; grandson, Tarian; mother, Gloria Jean Grulke of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister, Kim Anderson of Corpus Christi, Texas; and brother, Michael Bowers of Minneapolis, Minn. Laurie was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services will be held at GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH, 1801 S. Thompson Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
