Thomas Michael Reilly

MADISON- Thomas Michael TR Reilly, age 63, of Madison, passed away on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at the UW Hospital. He was born on Aug. 23, 1947, in Madison, the son of James A. and Mary H. (Sullivan) Reilly. Tom graduated with the class of 1965 from Edgewood High School. He was the best bartender, working at many eastside Madison taverns. Tom loved playing Euchre, Cribbage and Sheepshead and was an avid Packer and John Wayne fan. He also enjoyed playing pool, softball, football and golfing. Tom had the luck of the Irish. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Tom is survived by his children, Tiffany Reilly, T.J. Reilly and Teri (Troy) Coogan; brothers and sisters, Trish Harrison, Kevin (Wendy) Reilly, Kathy Reilly, and Shannon (David) Winburn; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Sean and Joseph Reilly; and best friend, John Wayne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, with Monsignor Michael Hippee presiding. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 20, 2010. The family would like to express a special thank you to the ICU and Palliative Care unit at the UW Hospital for the care they gave Tom.
