Daniel Mark Peterson,

MADISON-Daniel M. Peterson, age 52, passed away at his home on Friday, Sept. 3, 2010 after a short and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on July 2, 1958 in Portage, the son of Ronald F. and Kay R. (Bogert) Peterson. Dan graduated from La Follette High School in 1976 and worked at Nuendorf's before joining Don Miller. After 28 years of dedicated and faithful service to the Don Miller organization Dan was released of his duties. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Badgers and Packers and had a variety of interests including fishing. His greatest pleasure in life was his children and coaching their athletics and attending their sporting events.. Dan is survived by his children Danny and Megan Peterson; his parents, Ronald and Kay; a brother, Tim (Pam) Peterson and their children, Evan and Rachel; his loving friend Debbie who together they shared a great bond of love for their children; his step-children, Jeremy, Jenny, and Jamie and many friends. Funeral services will be held at MESSIAH EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5202 Cottage Grove Road, Madison at Noon on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010 with the Reverend Jeff VandenHeuvel presiding. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dan's friends and family who gave their loving support to our Dad in the time of his illness.We love you and will miss you.
