Hans, MatthewMADISON - Matthew Hans, age 24, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010. He was born on Aug. 28, 1986, in Madison, the son of Greg and Mary Jo (Beuchner) Hans. Matt was born with hemophilia. He attended McFarland High School. Matt worked at The Green Lantern. He was an avid movie watcher and collected various movies on DVD and Blu-Ray. Matt was a personable individual who spent many hours hanging out with his friends. He loved to cook, and loved animals, especially the family's two poodles. Matt also had other pets over the years, such as rabbits, geckos and a snake. Matt is survived by his father, Greg; brother, Alex, both of McFarland; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at CHRIST THE KING CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5306 Main St., McFarland, at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, with Father D. Stephen Smith presiding. Burial will be at Lower McFarland Cemetery. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010.
