Bruce Free

MADISON- Bruce E. Free, age 62, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010, at HospiceCare in Fitchburg. He was born on July 31, 1948, in Madison, the son of Gerald and Lois (Francois) Free. Bruce was employed at First Supply for 37 years. He was a member of the Wisconsin Van Council for many years. He enjoyed customizing vans which won him many awards at nationals, going to many truck-ins, and making intricate woodworkings. He is survived by his sister, Carla (Bob) Free of Madison; brother, Al (Mary) Free of Middleton; a niece, Katie Free; and nephew, Rob (Beverly) Syring. He is preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, with the Rev. Gail Brown presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the time of service Thursday.
