Carolyn Krueger

Krueger, Carolyn A. MADISON-Carolyn A. Krueger, age 94, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at home. She was born on April 3, 1916 in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of August and Emma (Strehlow) Teschendorf. She married Willard Krueger on June 27, 1936 in Dousman. Carolyn was a bookkeeper for A. J. Sweet of Madison for 33 years, retiring in 1988. She was an active member of Monona Evangelical Lutheran Church for over 60 years. She and her husband, Bill, traveled extensively taking cross-country trips to visit family and friends, as well as Europe and Aruba. Following her husband's passing, Carolyn enjoyed communication with her many dear family and friends via e-mail and she enjoyed many church outings and lunches. Carolyn had a large love of reading books, especially biographies, as well as, playing cards, scrabble, computer games on Web TV and watching "Jeopardy" daily. Her family and friends marveled at her knowledge of current events or history. We all went to her for advice as she had the intelligent solution for us. We love her and will miss her greatly. Carolyn is survived by nieces and nephews, god children, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard "Bill"; three sisters; and one brother. Funeral services will be held at MONONA EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4411 Monona Drive., Monona, at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, with the Rev. William Pekari presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Monona Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Fund.
