Obituary

MONONA-Margaret Marie (Peterson) Panger, age 93, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010. She was born Nov. 18, 1916, in Duluth, Minn., the daughter of Arthur and Bertha (Donahue) Peterson. Margaret was married to Myron A. Panger on April 24, 1940. He preceded her in death in 2001. Margaret volunteered at Monona Senior Center, Meriter Hospital, and Immaculate Heart of MaryCatholic Church. She worked at J.C. Penney for 19 years in the catalog department, retiring in 1980. Margaret worked at Jacobsens Market after retirement. She loved spending time with family and friends, traveling in the car and going out to eat, especially at Red Pepper Restaurant. Margaret also loved playing solitaire and shopping. She is survived by her son, Thomas A. (Debby) Panger of Cottage Grove; daughters, Roberta (Edward) Mudek of Duluth, Minn., Marilyn (Paul) Panger-Cory of New Orleans, La., and Virginia Panger of Madison; three grandchildren, Laure (Robert) Johnson, Linda (Charles) Saloum, and Thomas (Marites) Mudek Sr., eight great-grandchildren, Christina (Brian) Spencer, Katie Johnson, Amy Johnson, Marie Mudek, Michelle Mudek, Maricris Mudek, Thomas Mudek Jr., and Julia Saloum; two great-great grandchildren, Dalila and Ariel; and her cat, Lu Lu. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband; and parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St. Monona, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 9, 2010. Entombment willfollow atRoselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Monday. A special thank you to the staff at HospiceCare, Meriter Hospital, UW Hospital, Capital Lakes Rehabilitation, Sylvia, and friends at Frostwoods. Cemetery: Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation: Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Scholfield St. Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 9, 2010.
