Obituary

WAUNAKEE-Elien "E" Waldhart, age 50, of Waunakee, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 8, 2010, at home. She was born on July 9, 1959, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Jan and Valerie (Samuelson) Hanson. E married Larry Waldhart on May 24, 1981, at Edison Park Lutheran Church in Edison Park, Ill. She graduated from UW-Platteville in 1983. Shortly after graduation, E and Larry resided in Germany where their son, Larry was born. The family then moved to Fort Riley, Kan. in 1987 where their daughter, Danielle was born. In 1991, the family moved to Whitewater. In 2005, they moved to Waunakee where they presently reside. E was a lifelong member of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, and the Chicago Cubs. E was a loving wife, mother, sister and daughter. She was the foundation of the family and relished being a wife and mom. Elein is survived by her husband, Larry; son, Larry; and daughter, Danielle, all of Waunakee; father, Jan Hanson of Arlington Heights, Ill.; sister, Lisa (Tom) Fundarek of Tinley Park, Ill.; aunt, Elien Levander of Chicago, Ill.; father-in-law, Larry (Kim) Waldhart of Appleton; sister-in-law, Linda (David) Allison of Green Bay; and nieces, nephews and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Valerie Hanson; and mother-in-law, Kathleen Waldhart. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children or Wounded Warrior Project. Visitation: Visitation will be at the church from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2010, and from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday. Service: Funeral services will be held at ALL SAINTS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2951 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg, at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 12, 2010, with the Rev. Richard Johnson presiding.
