Mr. Boyd D. Berry

DEERFIELD-Boyd D. Berry, age 63, died at home on Tuesday, July 27, 2010. He was born on Sept. 16, 1946, in Madison, the son of James and Ruth (Howland) Berry. He married Carol J. Podach on June 3, 1967, at Bashford United Methodist Church. Boyd worked at Samuels Recyclying until his retirement in January 2009. He was a member of Bashford United Methodist Church. Boyd enjoyed fishing and camping. Boyd will be missed dearly by his wife, Carol of Deerfield; son, David of Deerfield; grandson, Dominic; sister, Jacqueline (Mitch) Hull of Madison; two brothers, James (Barb) Berry of Brandon, Jay (Laura) Berry of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sisters-in-law, Barbara (Don) Farwell of Cottage Grove, Marilyn Weisbrad and Patricia (Richard) Nagorski, both of Stevens Point; four brothers-in-law, Frank Podach of Stevens Point, Edward (Sandra) Podach of Brooklyn, Thomas of Wisconsin, and Robert of Stevens Point; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Donna Metzker and Bill Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents; son; and sister-in-law, Janice Podach. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2010, with the Rev. Fran Deaner presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2010. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Cemetery: Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
