Marie Dolezal

MIDDLETON/BELOIT-Marie A. Dolezal, age 97, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Oakwood Village in Madison. She was born on October 23, 1912, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Anton and Marie Klich. Marie married Carl J. Dolezal on May 21, 1938. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1986. She worked at the Cicero Telephone Company for 11 years. Marie was a member of Our Lady of The Assumption Church in Beloit for 37 years and also a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Middleton since 1992. Marie had many friends who enjoyed her stories of her past travels and experiences, but truly treasured most her time spent with her family. She was a longtime Beloit resident, as well as, Cleveland, Kingston, Ontario; Chicago; Hinsdale, IL and Middleton. Marie is survived by her children, Joyce Crates of Madison and Jim (Beth) Dolezal of Anapolis, Maryland; two grandsons, Scott Crates and Eric Crates; and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Crates; many nieces and nephews and was especially close to her niece, Margaret Svihla. In addition to her husband, Marie was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and 5 brothers. Private family services will be held. Marie requested that no flowers be given.
