Hendrickson, Paul E.
MADISON/MONONA-Paul E. Hendrickson, age 81, died on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, after a short battle with cancer. Paul was born on March 18, 1929, to Selmer and Mildred Hendrickson, in Brooklyn. He married Delores Day on Nov. 18, 1950, and together they raised four children. For more than 40 years, Paul enjoyed his duties as television engineer with WMTV and then WHA-TV. Upon retiring, Paul and Dee spent many years in Florida. Paul enjoyed golf, bowling and playing euchre in Madison and in Eustis, Fla. He was a member of Madison Elks No. 410, Eustis Florida Moose No. 874 and Eustis AMVETS. Paul is survived by his wife, Delores;children, Lynn (Tom) Jorris of Circle Pines, Minn., Nancy Quinlan of Midland, Mich., Jerry (Debra) Hendrickson of Anchorage, Alaska and Lori Hendrickson (Mike King) of Stoughton;grandchildren, David (Diana), Jeffrey and Michael Jorris, Casey (Katie), Lacy, Connor and Sadie Quinlan, and Joshua Hendrickson;brother, Thomas (Eileen) Hendrickson; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Lou Smith; brother, Charles; and son-in-law, Joe Quinlan.A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2010. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Dane County will be appreciated.

Our sincerest condolences to you all on the loss of your husband, dad, & grandpa. I have always remembered Paul as having a giant smile on his face and an infectious throaty chuckle as he spoke.
