Joyce Mary Conn

\r\n Conn, Joyce Mary\r\n MADISON- Joyce Mary Conn, age 87, of Fitchburg, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2010 in Fitchburg. She was born on July 2, 1923, in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of J. Richard and Violet (Murphy) Lamb. Joyce married William A. Conn Sr. on Sept. 16, 1950 in Buffalo, New York. She earned her teaching degree from State University of New York in Buffalo, and a degree in Library Science at Geneseo College in Geneseo, New York. Joyce was a teacher and librarian in the Kenmore, New York school system. She is survived by her son, William (Kathleen) Conn Jr of Fitchburg; and grandchildren, Megan Ann and Rebecca Elizabeth. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Conn Sr. in 2002. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, on Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joyce\'s name to HospiceCare, Inc.
