Dennis C. Felland, Sr.

MADISON- Dennis C. Felland Sr., passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010, at the HospiceCare Center. Denny, as he was known, was born on June 12, 1944, in Madison, the second of two sons of Godfred and Evelyn Felland. He attended Madison East High School, graduating in 1962. Denny was an exceptional athlete in his youth, excelling in baseball, wrestling, track and bowling. He served in the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge. Denny was united in marriage to Adele Otis on Dec. 14, 1968, and they were together 41 years until her death on Jan. 5, 2010. He was employed by Oscar Mayer, retiring after 30 years. Denny is survived by a son, Dennis Felland Jr.; stepdaughter, Debra (Jim) Hanson of Madison; brother, Bruce (Inger) Felland of Edgerton; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Adele. Special thanks to the staff of the Medical Intensive Care Unit at St. Marys Hospital for the competent and compassionate care they gave Denny. In accordance with his instructions, he was cremated and there was no service. Denny will be missed by his family and friends.
