MUELLER RAY A.
MADISON-Ray A. Mueller, age 66, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Meriter Hospital in Madison. He was born on August 3, 1943, in the Town of Corning, outside Merrill, Wisconsin, the son of Ruth Mueller, where he was raised by his mother and grandmother, Elsie Krause. He was a United States Army veteran who proudly served his country in Korea after the Korean War. Ray was united in marriage to Charlotte Ressie on August 15, 1970, in Lewiston, Minnesota. He was employed with WPS for over thirty years until his retirement in 1995. Ray enjoyed family camping trips up North when his children were younger, and later spending vacation time at Indian Shores, where he enjoyed the last summers working on his place up there, going fishing on his pontoon boat and just relaxing in God's beautiful nature. He also truly treasured the time spent with his four grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; sons, Scott (Gina) Mueller of Madison, Todd (Aimee) Mueller of Green Bay; four grandchildren, Grace, Josie, Joe, and Max Mueller; his mother, Ruth; half-brothers, Dan (Nancy) Mueller, Bill (Rita) Mueller and Tom (Judy) Mueller and half-sisters, Carol (Michael) Galganski and Cheryl (Russell) Butalla. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Ray was preceded in death by his father; grandmother, Elsie Krause; and three uncles, Elmer, Ferdinand and Laverne Krause. Funeral services will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5701 Raymond Road, Madison at Noon on Thursday, July 1, 2010, with the Reverend Sheryl Erickson presiding. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery in the Town of Corning, near Merrill, at 11:00 AM on Friday. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton and also on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
