Obituary

OREGON- A lifetime of love, service and sacrifice ended as Marjorie A. Reffue, age 62, of Oregon passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Sunday, July 11, 2010 from Glioblastoma Multiforme brain tumors. Her 13 month journey with GBM was spent full of love, travel and laughter. Margie was born in Beloit on Dec. 15, 1947, to George R. and Alice (Warren) Reffue. She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1966. In May of 1970 she welcomed her pride and joy, Heather, into the world. Marjorie has a successful career as a Fiscal Clerk Supervisor at the University of Wisconsin for 31 years. She is survived by her daughter, Heather (Phil) Kleiboer; grandsons, whom she adored, Cole and Cameron; sisters, Jean (Tom) Stickel and Linda (Gary) Smulka; nieces, Stacy Smulka and Jessica (Mark) Larson; and precious grandniece, Nina. Marjories parents, George and Alice Reffue preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m., at LAKE CITY CHURCH, 4909 Buckeye Road, Madison, on Friday, July 16, 2010, with the Rev. John Ruck and the Rev. Daniel Okpala presiding. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, on Thursday, July 15, 2010. To our family, you have been a rock of support and love that has amazed us on a daily basis. Words cannot describe our gratitude. Thank you for being here for us we love you all! Thank you to all friends from Lake City Church, Asbury and University of Wisconsin, you have been a blessing through this entire journey! Particularly Jacque, Suzanne and Mardelle, we couldnt have done it without you. To Pete L. were overwhelmed with appreciation for the dreams you made come true and the kindness youve demonstrated. Youre the best. The family would especially like to thank Amanda, Jessi and Kim and the entire Hospice Team for the extraordinary care, respect and love theyve shown for our entire family. Were deeply grateful to know you. Mom loved you all. And as Margie would want to use this space, Do you know Jesus?
