My mother, Dorothy Converse, taught with Mrs. Aguanno in DeForest in the late 1960's. She remarked many times about what a lady Grace was in her behavior and gentleness. Grace was "gracious" - her name was exactly what she was. My mother was also born in 1914, but died of cancer in 1972. Mrs. Aguanno came to her visitation and introduced herself to me. I've always remembered and appreciated her doing so. While teachers touch many lives, she was an easy person to love. Regards, Bonnie Clayton

It was truly an honor and a pleasure to care for Grace while she was a resident at an assisted living where I worked. Her kind and quiet spirit was nothing short of remarkable. She was always so appreciative and encouraging! I count it a blessing to have been able to meet this wonderful woman and, from time to time, to offer her reasons to smile. She will always be remembered fondly, as she made a difference in my life!
