Droster, Dean F.
MADISON-Dean F. Droster, age 76 of Madison passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2010 at Middleton Village Health Care Center. He was born on August 7, 1933 in Madison, the son of Frederick and Ellen (Lester) Droster. He married Shirley Ginger on Oct. 6, 1952. She preceded him in death in 1981. Dean served his country in the U.S. Army as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict and was a volunteer at VFW Post 8483. He worked at Oscar Mayer Co., for 33 years. Dean is survived by his sister, Barb (Darrell) Heath of Madison; brother, Marvin (Zelda) Droster of Madison; sons, David Droster of Waunakee, Michael Droster of Belleville, Rick (Suzette) Droster of Hingham, Mass., Daniel Droster (Lita Clarke) of Madison; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley; and a brother, Fred Droster. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2010. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary's Hospital, Walnut Grove Assisted Living, Middleton Village and HospiceCare for the care they gave Dean.
Cemetery:
Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Visitation:
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2010.
Service:
Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2010.

My sincerest condolances on the loss of your dad. I have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Dean and Aunt Shirley. You may have been too young to remember but our families spent lots of time together as we were growing up.
