Mrs. Janet Marie Hall

Hall, Janet Marie MADISON-Janet Marie Hall, age 77, died peacefully on Friday, June 4, 2010, at the HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. Janet was diagnosed with lung and liver cancer about six months ago and put up a brave Norskie battle up to the end. She was born on Sept. 22, 1932, in Madison, the daughter of Nels and Margaret (Anderson) Wick. Nels died in 1948, and after many years Margaret married Harold Knuteson. Janet graduated from Wisconsin Dells High School in 1950. She was united in marriage to Gary Hall on Aug. 17, 1951, at the Plymouth Congregational Church, Madison. Janet was an avid golfer, playing with the girls in the Women Wednesday League at Windsor and at different tournaments with her golfing cronies: Marilyn, Susie, Pam, Barb and Kathy to name a few. They also enjoyed themselves immensely with a yearly cruise or gambling trip while the \"hubbies\" had to batch it. Janets most important job over the years was raising her children. She is survived by her husband, Gary Ardon Hall; children, John Ardon Hall of Madison, Teri Lynn (Jeff) Fine of Cottage Grove, Kelly Lee Hall of Madison, and Joni Ann Gehrke of Wisconsin Dells; grandchildren, Toby Lee Adams, Dustin Dean Fine, Christina Marie Gehrke, Heather Ann Gehrke and Anna Leigh Gehrke; great-granddaughter, Genna Lynn Adams; brothers, Robert (Dorothy) Wick of Wisconsin Dells and Dennis (Barb) Wick of Madison; uncle, Ray Hanson; aunt, Leone Wick; special cousin, Joan Coats of Madison; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends. Janet was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Donnie and Ronnie; great-grandson, Travis Lee Adams; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 12 noon, on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, with the Rev. Jeff Vanden Huevel presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare, Inc. 5395 E.
