Tollefson, Dennis "D.T." POYNETTE/MADISON-Dennis "D.T." Tollefson, age 56, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 14, 2010, from an accident. He was born on Aug. 3, 1953, to Orville and Lucille Tollefson. Dennis graduated from Madison East High School. Following graduation, he began working for Ahrens Cadillac, a job he truly enjoyed. He and his brother, Gary were co-owners of the Brothers II Bar in Sauk City. At age nine, Dennis started playing the guitar. This love lead him to form the Eldorados Band. The band played for 25 years at the Middleton Good Neighborhood Festival. Dennis was a member of the Sauk Prairie Hog Chapter, the ABATE of Wisconsin, the Better Biker Association, the Good Guys and the Lake Wisconsin Cruisers. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, going to car shows, camping, and singing and entertaining his family and friends. Dennis especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Weston (Renee) Tollefson of Mount Vernon and Heather Tollefson of Mount Horeb, and their mother, Lois Lease; four grandchildren, Brittany, Alexis, Brook and Waylon; special friend, Mary Schaefer of Poynette; brother, Gary (Sue) Tollefson of Deerfield; and nephew, Ross Tollefson of Deerfield. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m., on Saturday, May 22, 2010. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday. A gathering at Rev. Jims Roadhouse, 6402 Millpond Road, Madison will begin after the burial at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials: Cemetery: A gathering at Rev. I am so sorry to hear we lost Denny. He was a terrific guy who contributed many childhood memories to my ex-husband and former sister in law, Scott and Lori Haas. My condolences to the families touched by Denny's loss. Kris Lerdahl
