Margaret Grim

Grim, Margaret "Maureen" OREGON/STOUGHTON-Margaret "Maureen" Grim, age 86, died on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at HospiceCare Center. She was born on Dec. 15, 1923, in Fountain, Minn., the daughter of Raymond Earl and Ida (Murphy) O'Shaughnessy. Maureen was a member of Holy Mother of Consolation Catholic Church in Oregon. Surviving are four daughters, Marianne (Dr. Tom) Thies of Stoughton, Suzanne (Michael) Peterson of Henderson, Nev., Kathleen Haines of Oregon, and Patricia (John) Butler of Mukwonago; four sons, Daniel (Irene Browne) Grim of Worcester, Mass., Thomas (Donna) Grim of Stevens Point, John (Tracy) Grim of Moweaqua, Ill., and James (Cindy) Grim of Apple Valley, Minn.; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, William (Ardys) O'Shaughnessy of Dousman; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vinal in 2006; her son, Joseph; a sister, Patricia Pfister; and two brothers, P. J. O'Shaughnessy and Raymond O'Shaughnessy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at HOLY MOTHER OF CONSOLATION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 651 N. Main St., Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2010, with Father Bill Connell presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will be at Carrolton Cemetery in Fountain, Minn. Gratitude is extended to Dr. Michael Goldrosen for his special care of Mom over the years. To the entire HospiceCare Team at home and inpatient, the family thanks you for your compassion, care and support these past weeks. Memorials may be designated for Holy Mother of Consolation Catholic Church or HospiceCare. Mom is now absent from the body but present with the Lord, where there is no more suffering or sorrow.
