Obituary

WESTFIELD- Barbara J. Hinrichs, age 72 , passed away on Friday, May 7, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with several on-going health issues. She was born on March, 4, 1938, and was adopted to her loving parents, Howard and Sarah Luton in Monroe, La. This is where she spent the younger part of her life until she met Richard A. Lang, Sr., while he was serving in the U.S. Army. They were married in Louisiana and later moved to Wisconsin where they had two children, Debbie and Richard Jr. After Richard Sr. passed away in 1977, Barb was employed by Midwest Steel where she met her love, William Hinrichs. They married in Oct. of 1983 and moved to Texas to start their careers as locksmiths. In 1986, they moved back to Wisconsin and owned and operated City Wide Lock and Key for many years. It was there that Barb met lots of close friends over the years. They retired to their country home in Westfield in 2000. Barb was a huge fan of the outdoors, she loved fishing on her bridge, going for drives in the evening to look for deer, and always being their for her family, which included all of the stray kittens that she named, took care of and loved so very much. She also was an avid lover of Elvis and his music, the thrill of a good bargain hunt and general southern hospitality and heritage.Barb is survived by her husband, William Hinrichs; children, Debbie (Mork) Lang and Richard A. Lang, Jr; grandchildren, Crystal Lang, Meshel Mork, Juston Lang and Garret Mork; step children, Linda, Danny, Chuck, Bethann and Michael; and many other family members whom she loved so dearly.She is preceded in death by her first husband, Richard; parents; and stepson, William.Memorial Service will be held at 4 P.M. on Wednesday at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison. I didn't personally know her real mother, but my older sister knew her. I was so sad to hear of her death. May God Bless you all.
